Summer, fall, winter, spring, rain, sun, or snow; it doesn't matter, Duke Ellington, Charlie Mingus, and Max Roach transcend general experience and when they return, they bring with them the gift of syncopated, tonal mana. Listen to this loud on your speakers with the blinds open or soft in your headphones with your eyes closed. Get lost.

Cortex - Troupeau Bleu 1975 | Rare Vinyl Records: May 9, 9:55am 1 review hip-hop, jazz, music, french, samples •http://rare-vinyl-records.com/2008/05...; Here's a beautiful jazz album by the French group Cortex from 1975, "Troupeau Bleu." Many people who listen to hip-hop will recognize the samples, but samples aside it's an involved, beautiful album which has a very funky jazz feel with plenty of Rhodes organ and female vocals. The album has a kind of latin feel as well. This album would make a great accompaniment to your next hipster, vegan barbecue or spring cleaning adventure.
